What is Saju?
Saju (사주, 四柱) is the Korean tradition of reading a person's life from four "pillars": the year, month, day and hour of birth. Each pillar has two characters, so a chart has eight — which is why it is also called BaZi, "eight characters".
Every character belongs to one of five elements — Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, Water. How these elements support or restrain one another in your chart describes your temperament, the way you work and love, and the timing of change in your life.
